My Island
By DivineOmega | March 28, 2007
I’ll get straight to the point. I want to buy an island. Nothing too fancy, just a private island. Thus I can expand my lordly status to rule over it. I’m taking this very seriously, believe me.
Now, my dream island I suppose, would not be too large, say just over one acre. Power and telephone would be available within at least a few hundred yards. Since I don’t yet own a boat it would also be helpful if the island was at low tide, so one could walk to the island from the mainland (just following the shoreline).
So I did some research, looking for a dream island I can buy, and I found one
Name: Jemzie’s Island, Nova Scotia, Canada
Size: 1.2 acres
This is a small island in Louisdale Harbour (Seal Cove is the original name of the harbour). Power and telephone are available within a few hundred yards. At low tide, one can walk to the island from the mainland (just follow the shoreline). Jemzie’s Island has good shelter and a public launch is nearby. The island can be reached from the end of the Island View Drive road. The topography is cleared, partially cleared and softwood bush.
Description? Good enough. How much you ask? £13,128.53
*sigh* Maybe when I’m older I’ll get it. For the moment, I still owe someone that last fifty-three pence.
