Horses

By DivineOmega | July 10, 2006

Most people, I believe, would agree that a horse has an even number of legs. Correct?

Of course, it is also true that a horse has forelegs in front and two legs in back. Four plus two equals six legs, which is certainly an odd number of legs for a horse to have. Not numerically, but in the bizzare sense. Regardless - the only number of legs which is both even and odd simultaneously is infinity, thus I conclude horses have an infinite amount of legs.

Suppose a horse was found which did not have an infinite number of legs. In accordance with the above facts, this would certainly be an odd turn of events and indeed the vast majority have already agreed “a horse has an even number of legs”, meaning that both odd and even numbers of legs were again involved. Therefore such a horse, by not having a infinite amount of legs, would fit all conditions required for a horse to have an infinte amount of legs and thus would have them.
